DWT hires Amazon legal-ops veteran as Senior Director, AI Programs; promotes De Novo leadership

Davis Wright Tremaine hired Sam Bernstein, a 19-year veteran of legal operations at Amazon, as Senior Director of AI Programs. Concurrently, the firm promoted Jeff Sabado, formerly director of knowledge management, to head De Novo (DWT's internal R&D/innovation unit), and legal-tech veteran Benjamin Capps rejoined as senior AI solutions architect. The moves expand DWT's dedicated AI leadership bench beyond the existing De Novo incubator structure.
