Davis Wright Tremaine's in-house innovation unit, De Novo, released Crescendo Engine, a proprietary AI-powered platform that converts complex official forms into conversational, chat-based client interviews rather than static intake forms. The tool won the International Legal Technology Association's (ILTA) Transformative Project of the Year award at the 2025 Distinguished Peer Awards. Principal Architect Benjamin Capps and the De Novo team led development, with support from DWT's Pro Bono & Social Impact team on accessibility use cases.
"I'm convinced Crescendo could only be built at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where our entrepreneurial culture encourages bold thinking and swift action. — Benjamin Capps, Principal Architect, De Novo"
