Reed Smith Legal Solutions launches Aquarius platform for EU crypto-asset compliance

Reed Smith Legal Solutions — the firm's consolidated alternative legal services division spanning consulting, investigations, litigation, regulatory compliance, transactional work, and contract lifecycle services — launched Aquarius, a platform helping crypto-asset issuers comply with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Aquarius automates portions of the compliance process, including categorizing crypto-assets, generating white papers, and running due diligence, while routing bespoke needs to Reed Smith lawyers for formal legal opinions. The firm plans to extend Aquarius's logic to crypto-asset regimes in other jurisdictions, including the UK, UAE, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
