Bae, Kim & Lee deploys Harvey firmwide — first Korean law firm to adopt a global legal AI platform at scale
Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL, known domestically as "Pacific"), one of Korea's largest law firms, is deploying Harvey across its entire practice following a successful pilot — the first Korean law firm to adopt a global legal AI platform firmwide. Harvey will support cross-border M&A, international disputes, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory work, with Korean-language capabilities and lawyer-first governance. Alongside the Harvey rollout, BKL is building a proprietary retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) knowledge base from its internal document repository. Input data will not be used for AI model training, and outputs are subject to cross-review by lawyers.
""Deploying a global AI platform across the entire firm is a bold step, and we are proud to be the first in Korea to take it. We did not make this decision for its own sake — we made it to raise the value we deliver to clients. AI absorbs the volume so our lawyers can focus on the judgment our clients truly rely on." — Joonki Yi, Managing Partner, Bae, Kim & Lee"
