Harvey announces development of legal-specific foundation models — open-source benchmarks and law firm workflow training
Harvey CEO Winston Weinberg confirmed PoC studies with law firms to train open-source LLMs encoding individual firm workflows and client-specific patterns. Co-founder Gabe Pereyra elaborated: Harvey is developing a legal foundation model series enabling firms to build and own their own specialized AI. Training uses synthetic and human-derived data pipelines. Benchmarks will be open-sourced.
