Why this matters
Husch Blackwell is putting structure around firm-wide AI use, with Thomson Reuters and Legora in the stack. A meaningful marker of where the firm's capability is heading.
Office Managing Partner Myers Dill told Virginia Lawyers Weekly that Husch Blackwell runs several AI tools firmwide (Thomson Reuters CoCounsel, Westlaw Precision and Legora for research and drafting; Copilot for productivity), reviews each product through a proprietary SAFER framework plus information security, procurement and general counsel review, and is pursuing ISO 42001 certification, anticipated in early 2027. A Transformation Office set up earlier this year works with clients on delivery.
""nearly 100 percent of our junior lawyers have adopted and use AI regularly in their practices." (Myers Dill, Office Managing Partner, Husch Blackwell)"
