In their own words
Attributed statements captured on tracked moves.
“STAAR reflects our view that the efficiencies created by AI should be shared directly with our clients... STAAR 2.0 is the result of thousands of hours of legal work on AI issues and allows clients to query that body of experience using AI, to see whether Debevoise has addressed a given issue before, and if so, how." — Avi Gesser, Co-Chair, Data Strategy & Security Group, Debevoise”

Debevoise launches STAAR 2.0, built on Legora's Portal architecture, in partnership with Legora
Debevoise launched STAAR 2.0, the second iteration of its subscription-based, client-facing AI advisory platform, built in collaboration with Legora using its 'Portal' architecture. The platform lets in-house legal/compliance teams query natural-language AI search across ~120 documents distilling Debevoise's AI regulatory/compliance experience, plus a tabular regulation-comparison tool across jurisdictions. Beta testing (through August 31, 2026) includes named clients Blackstone, Capital One, Evercore, GSK, and New York Life. Debevoise's partnership terms allow Legora to reuse STAAR 2.0 code with other firms.
